Brown Kids With Disabilities
Raising Awareness, One Community at a Time

Knowledge is Power—We’re Here to Share It.
At Brown Kids With Disabilities, we empower parents with knowledge, support, and access to resources so they never feel alone on the journey of raising a child with special needs. We understand that navigating disability services and advocating for your child can be overwhelming—especially in underserved communities. That’s why we’re committed to walking alongside families, offering guidance and education every step of the way.
This organization was born from lived experience. As a mother of two children with special needs, I saw firsthand the lack of support and understanding in our community. Now, I’m using my experience, training, and passion to advocate for both children and caregivers—helping them discover the confidence and power to advocate for themselves.
What We Offer
Our mission goes beyond awareness—we offer direct support, community programs, and training opportunities that truly make a difference in the lives of families. Through our advocacy work and events, we create safe, inclusive spaces for connection, healing, and growth.
Parent Advocacy Support
We guide parents through the IEP process, doctor appointments, school meetings, and accessing community services—so they can advocate confidently for their child.
Awareness & Education Workshops
We provide engaging training sessions on topics like ADHD, neurodiversity, and navigating special education systems. These are perfect for families, schools, and community organizations.
Peer Support Groups
Monthly support groups for caregivers offer a judgment-free environment to share experiences, gain emotional support, and learn from one another.
Community Events for Children
We host annual events and inclusive activities that allow kids with special needs to thrive socially and emotionally, all in a space where they feel celebrated—not judged.
